Waverly Wellness House welcomes Iridologist Mary Edlind to its team

The eyes are the window to the soul. But how about also to your body’s state of health?

CLARKS SUMMIT — The Waverly Wellness House recently brought in iridologist Mary Edlind to its team of naturopathic specialists. Edlind held an information session there April 29 with about 15 people in attendance and an audience watching live on Facebook.

Edlind is a resident of South Abington Township, a single mother of three and has been a physical therapy assistant for almost 25 years. She embarked on her journey to become an iridologist as a result of her daughter’s health journey which led to naturopathic care. This method of care helped her daughter significantly and led her to discover the fascinating world of iridology. Edlind went back to school last May and has since earned her certification as an Iridology Master Practitioner.

Iridology helps a person to understand their body’s natural tendencies through the unique make-up of their eye. When visiting Edlind, one can expect to talk in-depth about medical history and any current ailments as well as family medical history.

She will use a special iridology camera to take an image of the eye and put her patient on the path to wellness by showing them things such as foods to eat based on their eye color, tracing up to four generations of family medical history and discussing possible health issues based on the structure of their iris.

Iridology is by no means a diagnosis and an iridologist cannot prescribe medications, but can help their patients understand their body in a more detailed way as the iris is intricately connected to the rest of the body.

The mission of the Waverly Wellness House is stated as to “inspire and encourage clients for their best life, health and expression. To educate clients in the ways of healthy food and other lifestyle choices. To motivate clients to take action in living their best life. To empower clients to make better choices and live stronger, more energetic live by providing quality health restoration processes.”

The Waverly Wellness House offers an array of naturopathic health options. Visit their website at www.waverlywellness.com.
